Can You Hurt Your Baby By Wearing A Belt?

Visit of Bulgarian students in Romania, April 2006: Tuesday

Tuesday as guests of the students of secondary school Brukental we were accommodated in Romanian families.

On Tuesday, the day after arrival, we are gathered together with the Romanian students in high school. We knew beforehand that one of our comfortable stay, certain tasks. Now we were curious to see what will be that for some. We had no desire to overwhelm us in those days. Ultimately, the holiday for us, not the end. What came up to us as tasks, however, was both enjoyable and interesting!

to learn more about the city, told us the director of the school in groups, each group consisted of two Bulgarian and two Romanian students. Each group was given an envelope in which each was a picture postcard and a worksheet. The task was to answer some questions that were associated with a city tour. For the successful fulfillment of the tasks we had 2 hours.

When working was over, we gathered back in school, where we talked in Parliament, what we have experienced. From our answers to the questions, there was a living history and the everyday life of a city we had just met. The first German population could be around the middle of the 12th century settled here. A legend tells that the first Saxons came under the leadership of Count Hermann and therefore the settlement was named after him - Hermann village. As a result of their expansion, they later took the name of Sibiu. At the heart of Old Town is the Ursuli - Monastery to see, which is protected by walls. Among the attractions of the old town are still the Great Ring, was the statue of Nicholas Olahus, the Archbishop and Regent of Hungary, the little ring, the Pharmacy Museum, the Ethnographic Museum, the blue town house, took place in the earlier plays. The tasks to be undertaken have ensured that our history, the sights as well as the current city was closer.

visit of Bulgarian students in Romania, April 2006: Wednesday

Wednesday

Our third day with our friends in Romania ...
We were very early and at half past seven we were already in school. We got to know many Romanians. All greeted us warmly and bade us a friendly welcome. All participants of the exchange students were divided into groups and each guest had to Bulgarian with his Romanian partner in the class and go to some classes, where one in German voice users. We liked biology and German.
We sat in the last pew, we chatted a short time and already started the Unterricht.Wir listened to the teacher with great attention. It was an hour about the human body.

After this lesson, which lasted fifty minutes, we had five-minute break in which we changed the classroom. Now we had German. All students worked on a French project. For better understanding, we must state that on the occasion of the World Cup every DSD school in Romania represents a participating country and are conducted at the school in many subjects projects to this country. Our partner school represents France. Each school has a football team and just took place this Wednesday, the final match for the region of Transylvania, Sibiu to Medias. Unfortunately the team lost
from Herrmann city.

Then we had free time. We used to go to shop and to relax us, because we went to the theater by 19 clock. But it tell you and Nikolay Stanislav (see reports on the evenings in Romania) ...

visit of Bulgarian students in Romania, April 2006: Thursday

Thursday

On Thursday, 13 April, we met already by 9 clock in the car park of the Thalia Hall. It was to be our day trip to Medias and Sighisoara Biertan. Although it was pretty cool and it was raining, our spirits were high.

The first stop was in Medias. There we visited an evangelical church which was Catholic in the past. Then we took a walk in the center of town, where we saw many old building, which made a strong impression on us. Many have been beautifully renovated. Then we went to Biertan, where we visited a former military installation. Interestingly there was an old wooden door with many locks.

Sighisoara is an ancient city and around the world famous for its history. Some claim that has lived in this castle a long time ago Dracula. The city is filled with tourists who come to this castle. What we enjoy, the many stairs were the Clock Tower. From here we had a lovely view over the city. Then we climbed stairs again, this time up a hill to the church. The organist told us about the history of this church, showed us with a great organ music, the acoustics of the church. Interestingly, the grave times in different languages were in the cemetery behind the church.
The group spent a great time together. Despite the rain and fatigue were all happy and satisfied.

There are no major differences between Bulgaria and Romania - the nature is similar. The houses in many villages are beautifully painted and decorated, so had Romania perhaps better than Bulgaria. All thing is like in Bulgaria in the nature around too much garbage.

Romania has oil, heavy industry in Bulgaria is well developed. In Romania, many people depend on the village itself

I learned about magnets and the alcohol. Then we saw a football game between the teams of the DSD schools of Sibiu and Medias, what was the final game of the region of Transylvania. The mood in the gym was huge, we understood our own words no more, so the students cheered on their teams. The School of Sibiu lost the game. Then we, the Bulgarians, who played football. Unfortunately it started to rain on pretty strong, so we went home by 15 clock. 19 clock we saw in the theater "The Arabian Nights." It was a nice experience, as this Acting as was shown in excerpts of a film.
found Late afternoon, after much searching (and it rained in torrents here) still places went to a club where house music played wurde.Wir lot of dancing and fun.

Thursday:
This day was our field trip. Actually we had no desire to do something because we were very tired from the night before, but we had ... So we slept for the first time on the bus. Unfortunately, it was pretty cold and it rained off and on, which of course expressed our mood.
We visited the church and the center of Medias and the Church of Biertan as a weir. In Sighisoara then tasted many of us able to get a large pizza. After the time we got 177 flights of stairs to a church, and to a DSD-school (!) We were surprised that there is up to school. Students hahen every day the 177 stairs on their way to school! In the church told us of the church organist. Exciting was the descent into the grave, then we heard organ music amazing and it was allowed to play even a student of us on the organ. By 18 clock we were back in Sibiu. In the evening we were back in a beautiful disco ("Stage Club") with great music!

Friday:
the morning we worked in groups in the computer room of the school on a media project. Our host school has a really great computer room in the attic.
The remaining free time we used to rest and a 19 Stadtbummel.Um clock our partners had prepared for us in the school a buffet. All meals were fantastic and we have eaten enough. celebrations for the 625th Anniversary of the partner school in Sibiu (Romania) in October 2005

report on the participation of a group of students of the Goethe-Gymnasium in the celebrations for the 625th Anniversary of the partner school in Sibiu (Romania) in October 2005

This year (2005) celebrated the Samuel von Brukenthal his 625th high school Anniversary. It was both an honor and a pleasure for us to withdraw from the holidays to 29.10. been invited to be on 10/31/2005. Among the guests were representatives of most partner schools of the Gymnasium, that is, from Germany, Austria, Hungary, Switzerland, Turkey, the United States. This has created a friendly and relaxed international atmosphere. Which was felt not only on the events, but also in the city, where were fun entertaining groups of students to meet. This was once also the headmaster, Mr. Hermann noted, adding he paused in his speech and made us look around the room. The young people present were not as good as each other to distinguish their nationality was no longer recognizable. They are the right message, the procedures for the relations between the countries more than the politicians.

In the days where we've been in Sibiu, our partnership has also weitervertieft a piece. This undoubtedly contributed to the rich program. The students were not overwhelmed, they did not have to always be there and were allowed to spend their leisure time by themselves.

The exceptionally important role of Brukenthalgymnasiums for the development of the city, also regarded historically, has been stressed not only at the official opening, but also in several statements by former students, teachers, by parents. The Brukenthal have kept the serious and sad moments in its history in mind. All they have stood together has made them more united and Stäke. In the recently renovated and newly furnished loft two computer rooms have found the place. At present, the hard days there was to visit the exhibition on the history. Comfortably the school is certainly not only due to the renovated building and the heating has become. For this day, all day worries for students and colleagues, whose hospitality we were able to fully enjoy five days. A get-together for the teacher has secured the coffee shop, but for the young: the new sports hall. There she played volleyball and folk dance groups have delighted an appreciative audience.

Another attraction was the auditorium, where both teachers and students came together as to attend artistic performances and presentations. The high school has relationships with 12 partner schools, and attaches particular importance to the project work and school exchanges. In book one has, among other things also point out that the performance of Brukenthal earned them one of the first places not only in Romania but also worldwide.

The long history is carefully preserved and developed. In a study visit at a 7 Class was to experience again. Students were very active, led by my colleague in their independent thinking and encouraged. Not only in class but otherwise it is customary to speak German. In the staff room could talk with colleagues about problems and their solutions, make comparisons between the school systems and the methods, exchange of experience. The teacher at Gymnasiun working as a team and strive to give the best effort to make the won level is maintained in the future.

earned the recognition after-school life that can be characterized as a result of collaboration between teachers, pupils and parents. Note the events that take place regularly, gorgeous are the ideas of the folk dance group, the musicians and singers. The performances of the theater group to offer a playful use of language. On many of the trips taken and trips the knowledge of the biology or geography lessons are integrated. The creativity and craft work are highly valued, as is evident in the images and the applications. The sports activities of all kinds are supported no less.

was really a pleasure to be among people these days that have the aura of happy people who are proud of their own achievements, not least to the city in which they live. 2007 Cultural Capital of Sibiu be Europe. The excavation, construction work, the dust seemed not to disturb the citizens are. Quite the contrary - they agreed readily, which are scheduled for change.

Only a gesture of attention of our group over the school management has been shown by us was allowed a day to stay longer. In addition, a trip to Michael Berg was organized, we were able to visit the Freilichtmuseun. Nice weather we have to get free.
All ten participants who were allowed to congratulate the Romanian classmates and all the guests for the anniversary are very excited to come back home and await with impatience the next Opportunity to participate in a project work, or at least back to participate in an artistic program.
